After many attempts, I have come up with a recipe that everyone in my family likes. These brownies are rich, dark and so chocolatey! Excellent when served with a cold glass of milk, hot mug of cocoa, or a lovely Merlot. Enjoy!
1 cup butter melted
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×13 baking pan.
Combine the butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat in the eggs one at a time mixing well after each egg.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Stir the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture gradually. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread the batter into the baking pan
Bake about 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
