OK folks here is the recipe. I first made the cake part from scratch but I found after a few attempts that starting with a box mix of butter pecan worked just as well and saves time.
1 box butter pecan cake mix
1/2 pound of bacon or so
Cook bacon until gold and crispy. Chop and fold into cake batter. Add maple flavoring (1 1/2 TBLS) Prepare cupcakes as directed on box. Use paper liners for best results.
Frosting: 3 sticks of butter softened, five cups of powdered sugar, 1 1/2 TBLS of Cinnamon and 1 tsp maple flavor. Add milk to desired consistency (about 1/3 cup). Mix until whipped.
